Butter Making

We had to shake the raw milk in our jars to make butter.
We had to shake the jars A LOT.
So we danced!
Butter Making
by Dane Clark

Butter making was fun and simple, and I am glad we did it.  To make butter, the farmers had us put raw milk into a mason jar and shake it for 15 minutes! It was very tough. After everyone had raw milk and a jar the farmers played music and we shook harder than an earthquake!  We were jumping up and down, left and right all, over the place.  After hitting it on my knee it started to clump and that meant it was starting to become butter!  After there was no liquid left on the walls of the jar, the butter was finally complete. We were all more tired than a dog that ran around the world twice!  After the butter was salted and then we had a small taste. It was good. Now, I know I can make butter whenever I want it.
